The Chinese Medicine Board of Australia announces its Accreditation Committee.
The Chinese Medicine Board of Australia (CMBA) is pleased to announce that the following persons have been appointed to the CMBA Accreditation Committee:
- Associate Professor Meeuwis Boelen (Educationalist and Chair)
- Associate Professor Justin Walls (Educationalist and Deputy Chair)
- Dr. Shelley Beer (Chinese medicine practitioner with teaching experience)
- Associate Professor Chris Zaslawski (Chinese medicine academic)
- Dr. Henry Liang (Chinese medicine academic)
- Glenys Savage (MEd) (Chinese medicine practitioner with teaching experience)
- Dr. Jerry Zhang (Chinese medicine practitioner with teaching experience)
The CMBA Accreditation Committee is responsible for:
- development of accreditation standards to submit to the National Board for approval
- assessing programs of study and education providers
- assessing overseas authorities
- overseeing assessment of overseas qualified practitioners
- making recommendations and giving advice to the National Board.

The service for cooking herbs at the shop is now available. So patients will not need to cook the herbs themselves. You will find it easy to take the herb soups (maximum 14 small bags for 7 days) home and leave the soup bags in the fridge. You only need to heat it by microwave or boil water before drinking soups.

Australian Health Workforce Ministerial Council approves mandatory registration standards for four 2012 health professions.
The Australian Health Workforce Ministerial Council has confirmed its approval of mandatory registration standards that the following four health professions must meet when they join the National Registration and Accreditation Scheme on 1 July 2012: Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health practice, Chinese medicine practice, medical radiation practice and occupational therapy.
The mandatory national registration standards for each of these professions will be published on National Board websites on Monday, 16 January 2012 under the heading Registration Standards.
